About Gurudwara Dashmeshgarh Sahib

Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa,Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh.

The history of this place is associated with Puran Brahmgyani Sant Baba Kartar Singh Ji Maharaj (Bhairon Majre Vale). Sant Baba Kulwinder Singh Ji (Dalla Ji) used to be regular sewak of Puran Brahmgyani Sant Baba Kartar Singh Ji Maharaj (Bhairon Majre Vale) and whenever Braham Giyani Sant Baba Kartar Singh Ji came to Patiala, he used to stay at home of Sant Baba Kulwinder Singh Ji (Dalla Ji) .

One day Puran Brahmgyani Sant Baba Kartar Singh Ji Maharaj (Bhairon Majre Vale) said that we have to build a place in Patiala. Baba ji along with Sant Baba Kulwinder Singh Ji (Dalla Ji) and one sikh came to a village near Patiala named “Dhamo Majra.” A Sikh from that village came to meet Braham Giyani Sant Baba Kartar Singh Ji and during their talks, Braham Giyani Sant Baba Kartar Singh Ji said,“Bhai Asi Gurudwara Banana” to which the sikh replied that he already had a piece of land where it can be built.

Four of them then sat in a car and went to see the place. At that time, the present Gurudwara sahib place was full of thorns and bushes. Sewak’s arranged few pieces of bricks and made a place to sit for Braham Giyani Sant Baba Kartar Singh Ji. After sitting their for few minutes, Baba ji folded his hands and started to look all over the place. After few minutes, Braham Giyani Sant Baba Kartar Singh Ji said

“Ih Jagah Pehla v Saddi C
Hun v saddi hai
Te gaahan v saaddi hi rahegi”

The piece of land was the purchased from that Sikh and after few years, on 1st Feb 1998, first Nishaan Sahib was erected at the Gurudwara Dashmeshgarh Sahib. Sant Baba Kulwinder Singh Ji (Dalla Ji) requested Braham Giyani Sant Baba Kartar Singh Ji to stay with him at Dashmeshgarh Sahib Dhamo Majra to which Baba ji replied,“Asi Har Vele Is Asthan Te Rahange.”

On 3 Feb 1998, Braham Giyani Sant Baba Kartar Singh Ji left for the heavenly abode but his sayings are followed till date and will be followed in future. During his entire lifetime, Braham Giyani Sant Baba Kartar Singh Ji Bhairon Majra vale emphasized on three things:-

1) Simran Jap Gadd K Karo
2) Amrit Chako
3) Dharam Di Kirat Karo

As per the saying of Braham Giyani Sant Baba Kartar Singh Ji, Bhog of Shri Akhand Paath sahib is being done on every Poornamashi of the month followed by Gurbani Diwan and Guru Ka Langar. This tradition has been followed since 1987.
